Nikon has unveiled the ZR, a compact full-frame camera designed for filmmaking and high-quality video production. Developed in collaboration with RED Digital Cinema, it features a full-frame sensor that delivers sharp images and vibrant colors. The camera can record 6K video internally and offers 32-bit audio recording capabilities with support for built-in and external microphones. It boasts a large 4-inch display for monitoring shots and utilizes AI autofocus to detect people, animals, and vehicles. Weighing approximately 540 grams, it is lightweight and portable, compatible with a variety of lenses, and can record for extended periods without overheating. Additionally, it supports cloud uploads and various editing tools.
RED has also introduced the V-RAPTOR XE Camera, which offers 8K quality suitable for films and low-light conditions, along with the ME-D10 Microphone, compatible with the Nikon ZR, which records clear audio in PURE and FOCUS modes and does not require additional batteries.
