Siwan: A very close contest has emerged in Siwan as counting begins for the Bihar Assembly Election 2025. The seat is witnessing a direct fight between the BJP and the RJD, and the early numbers show that the race may remain tense until the final round. Supporters on both sides are closely watching every update as the lead continues to shift. In the initial trends, RJD candidate Awadh Bihari Chaudhary, who previously served as the Speaker of the Bihar Assembly, has taken a small lead. On the other hand, BJP’s Mangal Pandey, who is also the Health Minister of Bihar, is trailing behind.
According to the Election Commission’s data so far, Chaudhary has received 3,783 votes, while Pandey has secured 3,592 votes. With only 191 votes separating the two, the fight is clearly neck-and-neck. Apart from the main contenders, several other candidates are also in the race, though they are struggling to make an impact. Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraj Party has fielded Intekhab Ahmed, who has managed to get only 56 votes so far. He is far behind the leading candidates and currently stands in sixth place. BSP’s Sunita Devi has also received 56 votes, giving her a similar position in the race. AIMIM has also joined the contest by fielding Mohammad Kaifi Shamseer, who is currently in third place with 157 votes.
Several independent candidates are also trying their luck, but none have been able to gather significant support. As counting continues, Siwan remains one of the most closely watched seats in Bihar, with both major alliances hoping for a breakthrough as the day progresses.
