New Delhi, May 22 (). The Aam Aadmi Party will hold a mega rally on June 11 at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan against the ordinance brought by the central government. AAP’s Delhi State Convenor Gopal Rai has appealed to the people of Delhi to participate in this mega rally in maximum numbers to secure the rights of Delhi. He said that the BJP-ruled central government has taken away the rights given to the people of Delhi by the Supreme Court by bringing an ordinance.
He said that the BJP is saying that Delhi is the capital of the country. There are embassies here. If something happens in Delhi, it affects the whole world. It seems as if earlier Delhi was not the capital of the country and neither were the embassies.
Delhi Cabinet Minister Gopal Rai said on Monday that the Supreme Court has given a decision to give the elected government the right to run Delhi’s system while preserving the power of Delhi’s voters. After this decision, the rights of the people of Delhi have been hijacked by the central government of BJP through an ordinance. The people of entire Delhi are shocked by this.
According to Rai, the way the Supreme Court has given a chance to the government elected by Delhiites inside Delhi to run the system of Delhi, since then the BJP is behaving as if a storm was about to hit inside Delhi. They say that we implemented this ordinance because Delhi is the capital of the country. It seems as if he came to know for the first time that Delhi is the capital of the country. When this provision was implemented within the constitution that the elected government of Delhi would be formed by the people of Delhi, even then the people knew that Delhi is the capital of the country.
Delhi’s cabinet minister Gopal Rai said that India’s democratic governance system operates within the country only under the Constitution of India. Whether it is the central government of India or the state government, everyone gets powers only under the constitution of India. The constitution is very clear about what powers the elected government will have inside Delhi and what powers the Lieutenant Governor will have.
