The accused was identified as Inayat, a resident of Shahjahanpur town. Kithore police station in-charge (SHO) Vinay Kumar told that when a young man was searched on suspicion in the forest of Shahjahanpur town, two dead national bird peacocks, a gun (12 bore), 19 live cartridges and 4 hollow cartridges were recovered from him. have been recovered.
The SHO said, the accused was caught with 2 dead national bird peafowl, which is a protected species under Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972. A case has been registered against the accused under Wildlife Protection Act and 3/25 Arms Act.
He said that the accused was produced before the court from where he was remanded to judicial custody.
