Patna: The national conference “EVE Endoscopy 2025 – Patliputra” concluded successfully at AIIMS Patna on November 23 after two days filled with workshops, lectures, and scientific sessions. The event was organized by the Indian Association of Gynecological Endoscopists in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at AIIMS Patna. Its primary goal was to advance modern surgical techniques, ensure safe endoscopic procedures, foster research, and create leadership opportunities for women doctors. The conference attracted doctors from all over India, marking it as a significant medical event for Eastern India. The opening ceremony on November 22 took place in the AIIMS auditorium, featuring a warm welcome for guests and the lighting of a ceremonial lamp.
Organizing Chairperson Prof (Dr) Anita Singh and Chief Patron Brigadier (Retd.) Prof (Dr) Raju Agarwal, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Patna, shared insights into the future of gynecological endoscopy in India. Notable physicians including Dr Sudha Tandon, Dr Poonam Prasad Bhadani, Dr Sangam Jha, and Dr Monica Anant were in attendance. Distinguished guests Dr Kalyan Barmade and Dr Rekha Kurian presented lectures on safety, innovation, and advancements in endoscopic technology. A standout event of the first day was a lecture by internationally acclaimed surgeon Dr Prakash Trivedi, recognized as the “Icon of Gynaecology.” His motivational talk, “From Zero to Virtue – Let’s Build Our Future,” inspired young medical professionals to enhance their skills while prioritizing patient safety.
The inaugural day also featured hands-on workshops covering topics such as fibroids, endometriosis, adenomyosis, laparoscopic myomectomy, cyst removal, fertility-preserving surgeries, and hysteroscopic procedures. Senior specialists like Dr Aruna Tantia, Dr Mala Raj, Dr Manjula Anagani, and Dr Mukta Agarwal led the training sessions, followed by a cultural evening and dinner to wrap up the day. On the second day, November 23, over 300 delegates actively participated. Scientific activities took place in two separate halls and included presentations of research papers, video demonstrations, and educational lectures. Renowned medical professionals such as Dr Kalyan Barmade, Dr Shailesh Pantambekar, and Dr Manjula Anagani delivered significant talks on various elements of keyhole surgery.
Attendees benefitted from insights shared by experienced surgeons like Dr Sudha Tandon, Dr Sujal Munshi, and Dr Mala Raj regarding advanced techniques and global trends in gynecological endoscopy. The conference concluded with a valedictory ceremony, honoring the organizing team and contributors for their hard work. Organizing Chairperson Dr Anita Singh expressed her appreciation to participants, sponsors, and faculty, while Organizing Secretary Dr Mukta Agarwal provided the vote of thanks. The event wrapped up with cake cutting, a cultural performance, and recognition of committee chairpersons. Dr Sangam Jha and Dr Monica Anant praised the conference’s success and encouraged ongoing collaboration in future medical initiatives.
