Amit Shah Directs Action Following Fatal Red Fort Explosion

Home Minister Amit Shah has mandated law enforcement to conduct a thorough search for everyone connected to the car explosion at the Red Fort that resulted in 13 fatalities in Delhi. After leading a high-level review meeting, Shah remarked on X (previously Twitter) that all responsible parties “will encounter the full force of our agencies.” The blast took place on Monday evening close to the Red Fort or Lal Quila Metro Station, occurring when a Hyundai i20 unexpectedly detonated at a red light. The reason behind the explosion is still unknown, and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has assumed control of the investigation. Authorities have traced the vehicle’s ownership to Dr.

Umar Un Nabi, a doctor from Pulwama who has been unaccounted for since a Faridabad terror module case emerged last month. The J&K Police have apprehended six individuals, including three relatives of Dr. Umar, during late-night operations in Pulwama. Officials suspect he could be a crucial link in the investigation after his car was identified as being involved in the Delhi blast. In response to the explosion, security measures have been heightened throughout the national capital, with extra forces deployed near vulnerable sites. The government is also collaborating with intelligence and anti-terror agencies to identify any connections to prior terrorist activities.
