Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Saturday that there will be no negotiations with Naxals, emphasizing that they must lay down their weapons and accept the government’s favorable surrender and rehabilitation program. Speaking at the ‘Bastar Dussehra Lokotsav’ and ‘Swadeshi Mela’ in Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district, he announced that March 31, 2026, has been designated as the deadline to eliminate the problem of Naxalism. He urged all tribal community members to encourage the youth in their villages to abandon violence and join the mainstream to contribute to Bastar’s development.
