Amaravati, June 3 (). Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday constituted a high-level panel of IAS officers to visit the train accident site in Odisha’s Balasore district. The panel will be headed by state IT minister G Amarnath.
The decision was taken after the Chief Minister held a high-level meeting with CMO officials here on Saturday and reviewed the situation.
He directed them to be in touch with the CMO of Odisha and the officials of the Railway Department.
Jagan Mohan Reddy also asked them to set up inquiry and grievance cells in the offices of District Collectors to deal with complaints and respond promptly.
Civil Supplies Commissioner Arun Kumar along with Joint Commissioner of Commercial Taxes Anand and Srikakulam Joint Collector Naveen will visit the Amarnath crash site and help in relief and rescue operations.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to provide medical treatment and treatment to the injured in hospitals in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam districts and also to keep ambulances ready.
He also directed to keep them apprised of the latest developments.
