Lucknow, April 29 (). CM Yogi has taken many big steps in the last six years regarding the health of pregnant women and children in Uttar Pradesh. In this sequence, the Yogi government is now going to develop the Anganwadi centers as model centers along with further improving the infrastructure facilities for the health of pregnant women and infants. The state government believes that good care of pregnant women and infants will be ensured through efficient Anganwadi centers. They will be made more aware through workshops related to their nutrition and health.
The Yogi government has recently given guidelines in this regard to the top officials of the Women’s Welfare and Child Development Services and Nutrition Department. Clear instructions have been given by the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that electricity, clean drinking water, toilets, and tap water should be arranged in the Anganwadi centers of all the districts with sinks in the kitchen. Comprehensive arrangements should be made for special management of cleanliness at Anganwadi centers. Not only this, in order of instructions, Anganwadi workers have also been asked to discharge their responsibilities with more seriousness. According to this, through Anganwadi workers in Uttar Pradesh, nutritious food should be distributed door-to-door to pregnant women and infants.
It may be known that in the first phase, funds have been allocated for 2349 Anganwadi centers of 8 aspirational districts on March 30, 2023, to upgrade departmental Anganwadi centers as competent Anganwadi centers. On the other hand, in the second phase of March 28, funds have been demanded from the Government of India to upgrade 38120 Anganwadi centers.
