Jaunpur’s Assistant Superintendent of Police (City), Brajesh Kumar said, an FIR has been registered against the accused Santosh Singh and the Line Bazar police have arrested him under POCSO.
In their complaint, the parents of the 11-year-old minor boy told the police that Singh lives in their colony in Jaunpur city area.
Around 10 am on Wednesday, Singh called his son to give him some books. When the boy reached home, Singh sexually assaulted him.
On returning home, the boy informed his mother about the matter.
This is the second incident in a span of a week when the prestigious higher education institute of Jaunpur has come in limelight.
Earlier, Pradeep Singh, in-charge of TD College’s history department, was caught on camera having sex with a girl student. After the video of his act went viral on social media, the police registered a case, while the college management also suspended him on May 28.
