However, not all devices fans are eager to see will be presented. While the focus will be on the iPhones, several expected products are either delayed or reserved for future events. Despite the excitement, five key devices are not expected to be revealed this time. The first is the iPhone 17 Plus, which Apple introduced with the iPhone 14 series, but reports indicate the company may be phasing it out. It is anticipated that the new ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air will take its place in the updated lineup.
Next, the iPhone 17e is set to skip this event, following the earlier launch of the iPhone 16e as a budget-friendly option, with a debut expected in early 2026. The M5 MacBook, known for its powerful performance, is also unlikely to be announced on September 9, disappointing enthusiasts hoping for the M5 chip. Lastly, both the iPad Air and iPad 12, which are affordable options in Apple’s iPad lineup, will also be absent this year, likely saved for early 2026.
