New Delhi, March 31 (). As many as 22 flights from the Delhi airport had to be diverted till late Thursday due to adverse weather conditions due to rain and thunderstorm.
Officials said that due to heavy rain and thunderstorm in Delhi-NCR, the diverted flights have landed at various airports in Lucknow, Jaipur, Dehradun and Chandigarh.
After rain lashed several parts of the NCR, several airlines issued travel advisories to passengers asking them to stay updated about further developments.
SpiceJet informed on its Twitter handle, “Thundershowers with rain are likely to affect Delhi (DEL), our departures/arrivals and their consequential flights may be affected.” Passengers are requested to keep checking the status of their flight.
IndiGo also made a similar announcement saying, flight departures and arrivals are likely to be affected due to inclement weather in Delhi. Please check your flight status.
Due to unexpected rain in the evening, flights were diverted from Delhi to different places on Wednesday.
