Guwahati, April 30 (). Two laborers died of suffocation while digging a well in Assam’s Baksa district on Sunday. Police gave this information.
The deceased have been identified as Ramzan Ali and Siraj Ali.
The incident took place at Bangalipara in Baksa district when the laborers were digging a well in the garden of a local resident’s house, a senior police officer said.
According to the police, both of them felt uneasiness on entering the well and got stuck there. The well is about 20 feet deep.
The cause of his death is believed to be the lack of oxygen in the well.
When other villagers came to know that the laborers had fallen into the well while working, they pulled them out and took them to the hospital, where doctors declared both of them brought dead.
After the post-mortem of the dead bodies have been handed over to their relatives.
