Bihar Assembly Elections 2025: NDA Shows Strong Early Lead

The counting for the Bihar Assembly Elections in 2025 commenced on November 14, revealing that the NDA has surpassed the majority threshold. With the BJP–JD(U) coalition showing significant leads, it appears poised to form the government again. The Mahagathbandhan is lagging considerably, while the Jan Suraaj Party has yet to register any votes. Initial results started coming in by late morning, with more expected throughout the afternoon, and a clearer outcome anticipated by evening. The counting process is being overseen by 243 Returning Officers and 243 Observers, with candidates or their representatives present at the sites. The Election Commission of India reported no irregularities at any polling station, and no repolls are necessary.
