Brightcom Group Limited (BCG) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Close Quarters Tactical (CQT) Weapon Systems, a US defence manufacturer, to collaboratively develop sophisticated defence technologies that integrate artificial intelligence (AI) with precision-engineered tactical hardware. This partnership represents the inaugural significant initiative under Brightcom Defence, the company’s recently established division aimed at spearheading AI-driven aerospace intelligence and autonomous defence platforms since its launch in August 2025. As part of the MoU, the two firms will collaborate in three key areas: Business Development – jointly seeking opportunities across India, the Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, and other allied markets, focusing on defence ministries, government procurement initiatives, and private contractors.
Product Sourcing and Adaptation – facilitating the introduction of CQT’s rifles, tactical systems, and precision components into India and allied markets, including provisions for technology transfer, co-development, and localized manufacturing in alignment with Atmanirbhar Bharat and offset policies. Software-Enabled Defence Systems – incorporating Brightcom’s AI, machine learning, and data platforms into CQT’s tactical hardware to facilitate swarm coordination, autonomous combat platforms, intelligent threat response, and secure mission architectures. “CQT Weapon Systems brings decades of precision engineering and tactical systems expertise, enhancing Brightcom’s AI-driven platforms,” stated Suresh Reddy, Chairman of Brightcom Group.
“Together, we aim to provide fully deployable next-generation defence solutions.” CQT Weapon Systems, based in Michigan, is recognized for its high-performance rifles, specialized combat systems, and precision components utilized by military and law enforcement agencies globally.
