Haridwar, May 15 (). In Uttarakhand, a case has been recommended against the former headmaster of primary school Shyampur in Haridwar on charges of embezzlement in the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana. Former headmaster Keshav Dutt Sharma had withdrawn Rs 76,000 from the mid-day meal (MDM) budget for his personal expenses.
Additional State Project Officer Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Mukul Sati did a surprise inspection of government schools in Laldhang area. During this time, where all the teachers were present in the schools and arrangements ranging from education system to mid-day meal were found to be correct, a case was recommended against the former headmaster of primary school Shyampur on charges of embezzlement in Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana.
Additional State Project Officer Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan Dr. Mukul Sati said that the District Basic Education Officer should immediately file a case against teacher Keshav Dutt Sharma on charges of embezzlement under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana, following the government order. Further necessary action has been directed to be taken.
He said that there is a strict order of the government that disciplinary action should be taken against those involved in embezzlement or other irregularities in MDM, following which orders have been given to the officers.
