New Delhi, May 12 (). A Delhi court on Friday extended the judicial custody of Sukanya Mandal, daughter of Trinamool Congress stalwart Anubrata Mandal, till July 12. Sukanya was arrested in connection with the multi-crore cattle smuggling scam.
Chartered Accountant Manish Kothari of Anubrata Mandal will remain in custody along with Sukanya. Kothari was one of the many accused in the cattle smuggling case.
Both are to be produced in the special court of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) after two months. Last week, the court had issued notice to the probe agency on the bail plea filed by Sukanya.
Special Judge Raghubir Singh of Rouse Avenue Court had issued the notice to the ED. Sukanya was arrested by the ED on April 27 after questioning her about her alleged involvement in the case. His father Anubrata Mandal is also in judicial custody for his alleged involvement in the same case.
