The investigation into Chaitanyanand Saraswati has revealed more alarming information. Authorities found numerous chats with women on his phone, along with photographs with air hostesses and screenshots of women’s display pictures. Police officials allege that the 62-year-old attempted to lure women with false promises. He was confronted by two close female aides, accused of pressuring victims to delete incriminating messages. Both aides, who worked at the private institute he led, are currently being questioned. Saraswati, a former chairman of the Sri Sharada Institute of Indian Management Research in Delhi, is facing several FIRs, including charges of molestation, forgery, and cheating. After evading authorities for nearly a month, he was located and arrested in Agra.
Investigators state he frequently changed his appearance and hideouts to avoid capture, while police teams searched across five states. The allegations include not only sexual harassment of 17 students but also financial misconduct involving a ₹122-crore trust. Police have taken him back to the institute campus to pinpoint where he targeted his victims. Officials indicated that Saraswati has shown no remorse, continues to provide misleading responses, and refuses to cooperate, even when confronted with digital evidence and documents. Investigators characterize him as evasive and dishonest during questioning.
