Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Shri Kedarnath Dham on Thursday for the temple’s winter closing and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of Uttarakhand’s residents. He inspected ongoing construction works at the Dham, where the portals of the Kedarnath temple, a significant site of Sanatan faith, were ceremoniously closed. During this visit, Dhami performed special prayers and rituals for the welfare of the state’s people, engaging with local priests and pilgrims. He noted a record number of devotees visiting Baba Kedarnath this year, attributing the success of the well-organized Char Dham Yatra to the government’s planning efforts. Dhami emphasized the Yatra’s importance for the state’s economy and its role in connecting Uttarakhand with Sanatan Dharma followers worldwide.
He reviewed development projects in the Kedarnath area, highlighting initiatives led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Char Dhams and temples in the Manaskhand region. He instructed officials to prepare early for the 2026 pilgrimage season to ensure smooth arrangements. Dhami expressed gratitude to priests, rights holders, local traders, and pilgrims for their cooperation in the successful Yatra, stating, “This year, a record number of devotees visited during the Char Dham Yatra, and the pilgrimage to Baba Kedarnath has concluded successfully. May Baba’s blessings remain upon all of us. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the state government is developing Uttarakhand as the spiritual capital of Sanatan Dharma.”
