Rohtas: Animesh Parashar, IAS, the Patna Division Commissioner, visited various polling stations in the Akhauri region of Rohtas district on Tuesday to monitor the ongoing voting process for the Bihar Legislative Assembly elections. This visit on November 11, 2025, was part of the Election Commission’s initiative to ensure a peaceful, transparent, and well-managed voting experience for all. During his inspection, Parashar checked polling stations numbered 83, 84, 85, and 86 at Middle School, Akhauri. He thoroughly evaluated the arrangements for voters and expressed his satisfaction with the district administration’s preparedness. Parashar noted that the polling stations were established according to the Election Commission’s standards and praised the officers and polling staff for upholding discipline and order.
He engaged with polling personnel, security forces, and election officials, urging them to guarantee that the voting process remained undisturbed and unbiased. Special attention was given to the facilities for senior citizens, women, and differently-abled voters, including ramps, drinking water, shaded waiting areas, and wheelchairs to ensure convenient and inclusive voting. Parashar also interacted with several voters during his visit, encouraging them to participate in the democratic process. He commended the enthusiasm of Rohtas residents, stating that high voter turnout reflects a robust democracy. “It is encouraging to see individuals coming out in large numbers to vote peacefully,” he remarked. Praising the district administration’s efforts, Parashar confirmed that polling in Rohtas was proceeding smoothly without significant issues.
He emphasized that every phase of voting was being closely monitored to ensure adherence to all Election Commission regulations. Local administration and election department officials accompanied him during the inspection, underscoring the government’s commitment to conducting free, fair, and peaceful elections throughout Bihar.
