Mumbai, April 17 (). Maharashtra Congress staged a massive protest across the state demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clarify its position on the 2019 Pulwama attacks and recent statements on corruption by former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik. Officials gave this information here on Monday.
Protests were held in all the districts of the state with posters, banners condemning the Bharatiya Janata Party government and slogans of Modi shame, shame on you.
Leading a protest in Pune, state Congress president Nana Patole said it was wrong for the Prime Minister of the country to remain silent on such a big and serious issue and he should come clean on Malik’s allegations.
He reiterated his statement that the 300 kg RDX used to kill 40 CRPF jawans in Pulwama had come from Nagpur, but the matter is yet to be investigated.
Patole said, on the contrary, the PM and the BJP made political capital out of the tragic incident that happened during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections… After Malik’s revelations, the authoritarian government is avoiding all the questions that are troubling the people of the country. .
He warned that unless the government gives a statement on this issue, the Congress will hit the streets and intensify its agitation.
