Gurugram, June 5 (). Four people, including two sons of a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of Haryana Police, have been arrested for allegedly thrashing the employees of a liquor shop in Gurugram’s Sector-62 area for refusing to serve them liquor.
The suspects have been identified as Vishal Dhankhar, Navdeep Dhankhar, both sons of the DIG, besides Karan alias Kulwant and Iru Kumar, who were arrested on Monday.
It is being told that on the intervening night of June 3 and 4, the accused youth had gone to buy liquor at a liquor vend located in Sector-62. The salesman refused to give them liquor, as it was past midnight and the contract had already closed. On refusal, the youths thrashed the employees with sticks.
They fought with the staff of the liquor shop and created ruckus outside the shop, said Subhash Boken, spokesperson of the Gurugram police. A police team reached the spot and nabbed the four youths.
A case has been registered against the accused at Sector 65 police station under various sections of the IPC.
