Gurugram, May 2 (). The Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) will soon launch a drive to demolish illegal colonies in Gurugram.
According to media reports, more than 20 illegal colonies have been identified so far in different areas of Gurugram. These illegal colonies are being built in Sohna, Pataudi, Farukhnagar, Bhondsi, Badshahpur, village Chandu, Budheda and Sadhrana.
The department will not only demolish these colonies, but will also register an FIR against those who build illegal colonies.
District Town Planner (Enforcement) Manish Yadav told , DTCP has given clear instructions to the Tehsildar concerned not to register in these colonies, if it is done then action will be taken against the concerned Tehsildar.
He said that we also appealed to the people not to invest in these illegal colonies. These illegal colonies come under section 7A of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act. It is mandatory to take NOC from Town and Country Planning Department before any activity.
Manish Yadav said that a campaign against illegal colonies would be started soon. Information about the registry done on agricultural land in village Chandu, Budheda and Sadhrana has been sought from the Tehsildar concerned.
