Patna, May 23 (). Garima Lohia’s father was a cloth wholesaler in Bihar’s Buxar district. Garima has secured the second rank in the Civil Services Examination, 2022, as per the results announced on Tuesday.
After studying at Woodstock School, Buxar, she moved to Delhi for higher education, where she studied commerce at Kirori Mal College.
Garima told , I studied in Kirori Mal College of Delhi University and passed B.Com exam in 2020. My aim was to clear the Civil Services Examination. I tried twice after graduation. In the second attempt, I cleared the UPSC exam.
He said, my father was a clothing wholesaler in Buxar district, he died of a heart attack in 2015. We live in the city of Buxar in Bihar and we face the same challenges that people in a small town face. I always think of doing something for the people living in small towns and villages. This is what motivated me to appear for the Civil Services Examination.
Regarding her schedule, she said: I used to study everyday for 8 hours, 10 hours and sometimes just 4 hours.
Garima lives in a joint family of 13 members. His grandfather is the only earning member in his family. He has two sisters and one brother. Elder sister is married in Jabalpur, while younger brother is a student of B.Com.
UPSC announced the final result on Tuesday, in which Ishita Kishore secured the top rank in the country followed by Garima Lohia.
