Hyundai Motor India Foundation Grants INR 60 Lakh to 50 Artists for Social Change

The Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the corporate social responsibility division of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has announced the recipients of its ‘Art for Hope – Season 5’ program, emphasizing its dedication to fostering India’s rich artistic diversity. This year’s selected artists represent 22 regions, showcasing a blend of regional richness, inclusivity, and innovation. The fifth season of the initiative attracted applications from 30 regions nationwide, covering urban areas, remote villages, and tribal communities. A strong focus was placed on projects that highlight community involvement, amplify marginalized voices, and support grassroots movements. Mr.

Puneet Anand, AVP & Vertical Head – Corporate Affairs at HMIL, expressed, “With Art for Hope – Season 5, the Hyundai Motor India Foundation continues to empower artists whose work ignites conversation, inclusion, and social consciousness. This edition highlights India’s vibrant creative range, featuring rural groups, tribal narrators, urban pioneers, and digital innovators. By endorsing the top 50 projects, HMIF promotes voices that uphold heritage, reveal hidden stories, and encourage transformative progress. This initiative serves as a forum where creativity aligns with purpose, allowing art to facilitate empathy, equity, and advancement.” The selection of the Season 5 grantees followed an extensive evaluation by a distinguished jury, including Pandit Sajan Mishra, a Padma Bhushan awardee and renowned Hindustani classical vocalist; Mr.

Aaquib Wani, a noted experiential designer; Ms. Garima Avtar, an award-winning content creator; Mr. Nikhil Chawla, a seasoned journalist; and Mr. Aditya Arya, Founding Trustee & Director of Museo Camera. Each proposal was scrutinized for artistic quality, originality, innovation, and social impact. The grantees will also benefit from mentorship, skill enhancement workshops, and opportunities for regional exhibitions. The journey of ‘Art for Hope – Season 5’ will culminate in a significant public showcase in February 2026 in New Delhi, celebrating art, dialogue, and community while highlighting creativity and social impact.
