India Starts Strong After Dismissing South Africa for 159

South Africa was bowled out for 159 runs. India commenced their innings in the final session and currently stands at 14 runs without loss after 6.1 overs, trailing by 145 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal has scored 8 runs off 22 balls, while KL Rahul has 2 runs from 17 balls. On the bowling front, Marco Jansen has conceded 6 runs in 3.1 overs, and Wiaan Mulder has also given away 6 runs in 3 overs. Initially, South Africa had a good start with Markram and Rickelton scoring rapidly. However, Bumrah disrupted their momentum by taking five wickets, with Kuldeep and Siraj claiming two wickets each and Axar taking one.

This match is part of the 1st Test for the Freedom Trophy 2025, taking place on Day 1 in the Post-Tea Session at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. India has begun their innings steadily.
