The IPL trade rules are straightforward: the trade window opens one month post-season and closes a week prior to the auction. Trade types include player-for-cash and player-for-player. To initiate a trade, the buying team submits an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the BCCI, which the selling team must respond to within 48 hours.
