Jitan Ram Manjhi's Bold Metaphor Electrifies Bihar Election Scene

Patna: As Bihar’s exit polls indicate a favorable outcome for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) leader and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi made a striking statement during the campaign season, asserting that “a sixer has six bullets,” with each of his party’s six candidates symbolizing a shot aimed at preventing a return to jungle raj in Bihar. “A sixer has six bullets — and my six candidates are those very cartridges that will never let jungle raj return to Bihar,” Manjhi posted on his X account.

He specified that the first bullet targets jungle raj, the second addresses fear and bias, the third deals with corruption, the fourth focuses on Dalit oppression, the fifth confronts crime, and the sixth counters hatred and darkness. He emphasized that Bihar has opted for development under the NDA, expressing gratitude to the voters. His message, a blend of poetic flair and provocative sentiment, quickly gained traction, evolving from a simple thank-you into a rallying cry for NDA supporters. Following the second phase of polling on Tuesday, most exit polls have indicated a distinct lead for the NDA, with only one suggesting a competitive race. The final results are anticipated on November 14, but celebrations have already commenced in Patna.

At various BJP offices, members were observed preparing 501 kilograms of laddoos in anticipation of victory. Meanwhile, supporters of JDU candidate Anant Singh in Mokama started organizing tents and chairs for a potential celebration. JDU spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad expressed certainty, asserting that the actual results would surpass the exit poll trends, predicting a return to power for the NDA under Nitish Kumar’s leadership. BJP’s Giriraj Singh shared this optimism, noting that Bihar remains one of the few states without governance fatigue after two decades, highlighting enthusiastic participation from women voters. Conversely, RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari dismissed the exit polls as unreliable, stating that the true outcome will reveal a decisive victory for the Grand Alliance on November 14.
