Dakshina Kannada, (Karnataka) May 28 (). Reacting to the newly elected Congress government in Karnataka, late BJP worker Praveen Kumar Netaru’s wife has been re-employed in government services in Dakshina Kannada district on humanitarian grounds.
Considering it a special case, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Saturday that Nutan Kumari, wife of late BJP Yuva Morcha activist Netru, would be re-appointed on humanitarian grounds.
Siddaramaiah said, it is a natural process to eliminate all temporary employees appointed by the previous government. Not only the wife of late Praveen Kumar Netaru, more than 150 contract employees have been terminated from their services. There is no interference of the government in this.
Nutan Kumari was offered a Group C post on contract basis in the office of the then Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. He reported for duty and expressed to the former Chief Minister about his preference to work in Mangaluru.
Following her request, she was posted as an assistant in the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund section of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada district.
The Congress government had rolled back the order of the previous BJP government and faced protests.
Netru was assassinated on July 26, 2022. The matter is now being investigated by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). Preliminary investigation has revealed that Netru was killed out of revenge. More than 10 accused including three attackers have been arrested.
