New Delhi, May 29 (). Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday said that the party is going to repeat in Madhya Pradesh what it did in Karnataka. The party will win 150 seats in the state this year.
His remarks came after a meeting on Madhya Pradesh which was chaired by Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge. Rahul Gandhi, party general secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal, Kamal Nath, Digvijay Singh, Arun Yadav, J.P. Many leaders including Aggarwal attended.
Talking to the media, Rahul Gandhi said, Madhya Pradesh was discussed in detail with the party leaders. We have won 135 seats in Karnataka and we estimate that we are going to win 150 seats in Madhya Pradesh. In Madhya Pradesh, we will repeat Karnataka and win 150 seats.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh in-charge Agarwal said that all the leaders have decided to unite and contest the assembly elections.
He said that the leaders held detailed discussions with the party leaders regarding the election preparedness to defeat the ruling BJP in the state.
Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath said that the party will announce many schemes like in Karnataka and they have started announcing such schemes.
Assembly elections are due in Madhya Pradesh later this year.
