Thiruvananthapuram, May 14 (). Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday congratulated the state police department for its excellent work in investigating and solving cases and maintaining law and order.
The Chief Minister has also called upon the Kerala Police to take strict action against cyber crimes. CM Vijayan inaugurated the Rural Police Headquarters in Thrissur. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the police has been excellent in investigating the cases and bringing results. He called upon the police to act accordingly to deal with cyber crimes.
The Chief Minister of Kerala called upon the police officers to be prepared to deal with unforeseen situations which can be dangerous and fatal.
The CM also referred to the hacking of the Kottaraka taluk hospital on May 10 and the subsequent death of a female doctor. He said that only a few policemen have acted against the interests of the people of the state, and such personnel are now out of the department.
The CM mentioned that some policemen were dismissed from service on charges of corruption, unethical activities and dereliction of duty.
