Khesari Lal Yadav Lags Behind in Chhapra Elections

Khesari Lal Yadav, a Bhojpuri film actor, is participating in his first election, vying for the Chhapra seat. Currently, he is trailing behind BJP candidate Chhoti Kumari. His party’s overall performance has been lackluster, as it has contested numerous seats but is only leading in a few. Ahead of the election, Khesari made remarks regarding the Ram Mandir, stating that a temple cannot provide employment and emphasizing the significance of education. This statement prompted various reactions. On the first day of voting, he clarified his comments, expressing that he did not intend to offend anyone’s religious sentiments and aimed to highlight the value of education.
