Dakshina Kannada (Karnataka), April 1 (). The Karnataka Police has arrested a male domestic nurse for allegedly sexually assaulting an elderly patient in Mudubidre town of Dakshina Kannada district. The police gave this information on Saturday.
The accused has been identified as 19-year-old Shivanand, a resident of Gadag. According to the police, the accused was appointed to take care of an ailing elderly person at his residence in HUDCO Colony near Kodangallu.
The victim fell ill repeatedly and went into depression. The family members got suspicious and installed CCTV cameras in the room without the knowledge of the accused male nurse.
The CCTV footage revealed that the accused nurse forced the elderly patient to have unnatural sex. The footage also showed that the accused was thrashing the patient for complying with his demands.
The family lodged a complaint in this regard with the Mudubidare police and the accused has been arrested.
