New Delhi, May 14 (). Delhi Police has arrested a man who was on the run for the last 13 years in Mehrauli area of South district in a case of rash and negligent driving.
DCP South Delhi Chandan Chowdhary said that the accused has been identified as Baldev Singh (46), a resident of Rajasthan. He was caught near Mehrauli bus terminal.
Choudhary said, the staff of Police Station Mehrauli, South District were specially tasked to nab the Proclaimed Offenders (POs), who were evading their appearance before the court of law. The team started working on it. Then the staff started serious efforts by engaging the local people in this work. Informant and collected intelligence.
The officer said Singh was absconding and had been convicted in a rash and negligent driving case by a Saket court on May 13, 2010.
