Marriott International, Inc. has announced the global introduction of Series by Marriott, a new brand within Marriott Bonvoy’s extensive portfolio of over 30 distinguished hotel brands, launching The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott in India. This collection aims to honor regional characteristics while ensuring the reliability of Marriott’s global standards. The first phase includes 26 hotels across prominent Indian destinations, adding over 1900 rooms to Marriott’s offerings and marking a key step in the brand’s global expansion. Series by Marriott is a regionally developed, globally linked collection brand that unites locally recognized hotel groups under the trusted Marriott Bonvoy umbrella.
Targeting ‘global domestic’ travelers, the brand focuses on delivering essential comforts – cozy rooms, dependable service, and experiences that resonate with the local essence of each destination. The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott, represents the brand’s first global properties, featuring eco-conscious hotels that prioritize sustainability and local charm. Each hotel is designed to meet diverse travel purposes, from business meetings to family reconnections or simple relaxation. Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President for South Asia at Marriott International, expressed enthusiasm about the launch in India through a strategic partnership with The Fern Hotels & Resorts. He noted that India’s dynamic domestic travel sector and increasing demand for reliable, affordable accommodations make it an optimal launch site.
Series by Marriott emphasizes regional narratives while upholding the consistent quality and care expected from Marriott. This initial rollout signifies the start of a larger expansion plan, with over 100 additional openings anticipated in the next year. The first phase will debut in November 2025, featuring 26 properties across 23 cities, including The Fern Residency locations in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, among others. Each property reflects The Fern brand’s dedication to regional authenticity, sustainable hospitality, and guest-centric design. Guests can expect amenities such as a Grab n Go Breakfast for early departures, special recognition for single female travelers, evening turndown services, and wellness-focused bedtime offerings.

All properties under this brand participate in Marriott Bonvoy®, allowing members to earn points for their stays and enjoy personalized, contactless experiences through the Marriott Bonvoy app. Series by Marriott is launched through a foundational agreement with Concept Hospitality Private Limited in India, a significant growth area for Marriott International, with CG Hospitality serving as the majority stakeholder in CHPL.
