Jaipur. The Rajasthan Assembly budget session commenced with Governor Haribhau Bagde’s address. During his speech, he mentioned Tamlor village in Barmer district’s Gadra Road block. He shared his experience of visiting the village, where he saw houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). When he turned on a tap, he was informed that the water came from the Sardar Sarovar Dam, 800 kilometers away, calling it a remarkable achievement.
MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati Wears ‘Save Oran’ Shirt
Shiv constituency MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati arrived at the Assembly wearing a saffron shirt with the words “Save Oran” and an image of a tree. Bhati has been actively fighting for the protection of Oran lands. Earlier, he protested in Baiya village (Jaisalmer) in extreme cold, demanding the preservation of Oran land. His efforts led the government to exempt nearly 1,000 bighas of Oran land from encroachment.
Need to Protect Oran Land
Speaking to the media outside the Assembly, MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati stated, “Oran is sacred land, known as Dev Bhoomi. Lord Shri Ram spent 12 years of exile here.” He expressed concerns that land mafias are now eyeing this holy land. He vowed to fight strongly to protect Oran if needed.
Appeal to the Government for Oran Conservation
Bhati emphasized that the people of Western Rajasthan have been struggling for a long time to save Oran land. He urged the state government to protect Oran from encroachments and recognize its cultural and spiritual significance. He called for immediate action to safeguard this sacred land.
