Hyderabad, April 29 (). There has been a lot of damage in Hyderabad due to the rains in the early hours of Saturday. Rains threw life out of gear in several areas of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, where a nine-year-old girl also lost her life due to rains.
According to media reports, this tragic incident is from Kalasiguda area of Hyderabad. Here the girl and her younger brother went out to get milk at 6 in the morning as per their daily routine. But the girl died after falling into a drain hidden on the side of the road due to rain water.
According to the locals, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) was doing some road laying work in the area.
The cloud burst at around 5:30 am on Saturday morning, in whose grip LB Nagar, Saroornagar, Rajendranagar, Amberpet, Malkajgiri and other areas also came.
According to Met officials, Himayatnagar recorded maximum rainfall of 8 cm, while Gachibowli 7.4 and East Anandbagh recorded 7 cm.
Heavy rains on Saturday morning led to the flooding. Meanwhile, traffic jams were witnessed in many areas of the twin cities. Apart from this, due to the uprooting of electric poles, electricity in many areas also failed.
