NDA Takes Early Lead in Bihar Elections 2025 as BJP-JD(U) Nears Majority

Counting for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 commenced on 14 November, revealing early trends that indicate the NDA has surpassed the majority threshold. The BJP–JD(U) alliance is showing strong leads, suggesting a potential continuation of government. In contrast, the Mahagathbandhan is significantly trailing, with the Jan Suraaj Party yet to register any votes. Initial results began to flow in by late morning, with more outcomes anticipated throughout the afternoon, while the final results are expected by evening. The counting process is overseen by 243 Returning Officers and 243 Observers, with candidates or their representatives present. The Election Commission of India reported no irregularities at any polling station, negating the need for any repolls.
