New Tech Releases: Samsung, Nikon, Canon, and More This Week

The second week of September 2025 has been filled with exciting tech launches, following Apple’s recent announcement of the iPhone 17 lineup, AirPods Pro 3, and new Apple Watches. While Apple captured initial attention, several other brands introduced noteworthy devices for Indian consumers. From Samsung’s budget-friendly smartphone to Nikon and Canon’s professional cameras, here’s a summary of the latest releases. Samsung Galaxy F17 5G Samsung launched its Galaxy F17 5G in India, expanding its F-series lineup. Touted as the slimmest and most durable smartphone in its class, it measures only 7.5mm thick, features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and has an IP54 rating.

The device includes a 50MP triple rear camera with optical image stabilization, a 13MP front camera, and a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. Powered by a 5nm Exynos 1330 processor and equipped with a 5000mAh battery supporting 25W charging, it also comes with AI features like Circle to Search with Google and Gemini Live. The Galaxy F17 is priced at Rs 14,499 for the 4GB + 128GB version and Rs 15,999 for the 6GB + 128GB model, and it offers six years of security and Android updates. Acer Nitro V 15 Gamers and creators can explore Acer’s Nitro V 15 gaming laptop.

It features Intel’s 13th Gen Core i7-13620H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, providing strong performance at a competitive price. The laptop has a 15.6-inch Full HD display with a 165Hz refresh rate, dual-fan cooling, up to 32GB DDR5 RAM, and 2TB SSD storage. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6 and Thunderbolt 4. The starting price is Rs 89,999 for the i5 variant and Rs 99,999 for the i7 version. NoiseFit Endeavour Pro Noise introduced the NoiseFit Endeavour Pro, a rugged smartwatch aimed at adventurers and fitness enthusiasts. Constructed with a titanium alloy bezel, it can withstand over 2,000 drops, extreme temperatures, and depths of 164 feet.

It features dual-band GPS with 5-satellite support, a 9-axis motion sensor, preloaded workouts, and a built-in 2W flashlight. The 1.5-inch AMOLED display boasts 1000 nits brightness, and the battery provides up to 28 days of standby. Available in Carbon Black and Driftstone Beige, it is priced at Rs 9,999. Nikon ZR Nikon, bolstered by its acquisition of RED, launched the Nikon ZR — a compact, video-focused full-frame camera weighing only 540 grams. It supports 6K RAW internal recording, RED’s R3D NE codec, dual base ISO, 5-axis image stabilization, and AI-powered autofocus. This camera includes professional features like nine imaging recipes and 32-bit float audio via OZO Audio, aimed at filmmakers and creators on the go.

The Nikon ZR will be available in India starting October 16 at Rs 1,86,995 (body only). Canon EOS C50 Canon introduced the EOS C50, its smallest Cinema EOS RF-mount camera to date. It features a 7K full-frame CMOS sensor, capable of recording 7K 60p RAW, 4K 120fps, and 2K 180fps video, as well as capturing 32MP still images. It is the first Cinema EOS model to offer open-gate recording, facilitating flexible workflows. The body is priced at Rs 2,99,900 and includes advanced autofocus, detachable pro-grade XLR inputs, and seamless rig integration. Skullcandy INK’D ANC For audiophiles, Skullcandy launched the INK’D ANC earbuds featuring Active Noise Cancellation, quad microphones, and up to 43 hours of battery life.

Available at an introductory price of Rs 2,999, the earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4, multipoint pairing, and USB-C fast charging, which provides two hours of playback after just 10 minutes of charging. This week’s array of products showcases innovation across various segments, including affordable 5G smartphones, gaming laptops, adventure-ready wearables, and professional-grade cameras, catering to a diverse range of consumers.
