OnePlus has officially launched its long-awaited OnePlus 15 in India on Thursday. This latest flagship is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite processor and serves as the successor to the OnePlus 13 smartphone. The new device from the Chinese technology company is available in three popular variants, competing against numerous leading smartphones in India’s premium price segment. The starting price for the OnePlus 15 is ₹72,999 for the base model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the variant with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is priced at ₹75,999. Color options include Horizonless Black, Sand Storm, and Ultra Violet.
In contrast, the iPhone 17 starts at ₹82,900 for its base model with 256 GB of storage. The OnePlus 15 is the first smartphone in India to utilize Qualcomm’s 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which includes 2 performance cores and 6 efficiency cores, achieving speeds of up to 4.608 GHz. For comparison, Apple’s iPhone 17 is powered by the in-house A19 Bionic chip. Both devices offer storage options up to 512 GB, with the iPhone 17 running on iOS 26. The iPhone features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display protected by Ceramic Shield 2, although it has a lower refresh rate range of 1Hz to 120Hz compared to the OnePlus 15.
Regarding battery and processor specifications, the OnePlus 15 is equipped with a 7300mAh silicon-carbon battery and supports 120W SuperVOOC charging as well as 50W AirVIIC wireless charging. Apple does not explicitly disclose the battery life for the iPhone 17.
