Following weeks of teasers, speculation, and growing excitement, OnePlus has officially launched its next flagship device — the OnePlus 15 — in India. This model succeeds the OnePlus 13 and features a significant design update, advanced processing capabilities, and one of the largest batteries found in a premium smartphone. The device is now available for purchase on Amazon and the official OnePlus website. The starting price for the OnePlus 15 in India is ₹72,999 for the variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The top-tier model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage retails for ₹79,999. Customers can select from three color options: Absolute Black, Misty Purple, and Sand Dune.
Sales commence today at 8 PM, and as part of the launch promotion, OnePlus is providing a ₹3,000 discount for purchasers using HDFC Bank cards. The OnePlus 15 is equipped with a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display featuring a 1.5K resolution and an ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate. It is the first smartphone in India to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, Qualcomm’s latest 3nm processor designed for outstanding performance and energy efficiency. For photography, the device includes a triple rear camera setup with three 50MP sensors: a main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an ultra-wide camera, and a telephoto lens offering 3.5x optical zoom. The front-facing camera is a 32MP unit capable of recording 4K video at 60fps.
A notable feature is the large 7,300mAh battery, which supports 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The device operates on OxygenOS 16, based on Android 16, and offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. OnePlus has made significant alterations to the design of the OnePlus 15, moving away from its traditional circular camera module to a modern square-shaped camera island. The phone now features flat sides for a contemporary appearance. The iconic Alert Slider has been replaced with a new Plus Key. The display supports a peak brightness of 3,600 nits, ensuring excellent visibility outdoors, while providing 100% DCI-P3 coverage and the capability to display over a billion colors for vibrant visuals.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip includes two high-performance cores and six efficiency cores, reaching clock speeds of up to 4.608GHz, paired with an Adreno 840 GPU, making it well-suited for gaming, multitasking, and demanding applications. Despite its large battery, the OnePlus 15 remains ergonomically designed, weighing 211 grams and measuring 8.10mm thick. Additionally, it boasts robust durability ratings with IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications, rendering it resistant to dust, water, and high-pressure sprays. With its striking redesign, high-end performance, and exceptional battery longevity, the OnePlus 15 is positioned as one of the most attractive premium smartphones launched in India this year.
