OnePlus is set to launch its next flagship, the OnePlus 15, today, October 27, at 4:30 PM IST. This eagerly awaited event will occur in China, with global fans keenly anticipating the brand’s latest offering. Known for its blend of performance and aesthetics, the OnePlus 15 is expected to elevate this reputation further. To watch the OnePlus 15 launch in India, viewers can tune in at 7 PM CST (4:30 PM IST) via the official OnePlus website or the company’s Weibo account. The event will also be streamed on YouTube, providing easy access for a worldwide audience.
Notably, OnePlus is bypassing the number 14 due to its negative connotations in Chinese culture, much like the leap from OnePlus 3T to OnePlus 5 in 2017. Anticipation for the OnePlus 15 is high as it promises a range of new technologies and design updates. It will feature the innovative in-house DetailMax imaging engine, known as Lumo in China, which aims to enhance photo clarity and natural color accuracy. This marks a significant change as it will be the first flagship model without Hasselblad branding since the OnePlus 8. The OnePlus 15 showcases a fresh design, including a sleek square camera module and a microspace-grade nano-ceramic frame, along with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
The smartphone will be driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, ensuring excellent performance for gaming and multitasking. It will also boast a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate for impressive visuals and responsiveness. Additionally, it will feature a robust 7,300mAh battery, a notable upgrade from its predecessors. Regarding pricing, early reports suggest the OnePlus 15 may start at 4,299 Yuan (around ₹53,100) for the 16GB + 256GB variant in China, but official prices for India have yet to be announced. Given OnePlus’ historical pricing patterns, the phone is likely to cost around ₹70,000 in India when it launches globally on November 13.
Alongside this flagship, OnePlus is expected to unveil the OnePlus Ace 6, which may be released in India as the OnePlus 15R, although this has not been officially confirmed. With its innovative design, proprietary imaging technology, and advanced performance features, the OnePlus 15 aims to reshape the flagship experience for 2025.
