OnePlus is set to roll out OxygenOS 16 next week on October 16. This update is based on Android 16 and introduces a new design known as Material-3 Expressive UI. Users can expect a smoother and faster experience, along with live updates displayed on the lock screen for services such as cab rides, food delivery, and shopping orders. Additionally, the update enhances security measures to protect against malicious apps, scams, and unsafe websites. In the event of theft, the phone will become inoperable for the thief. OxygenOS 16 also incorporates new AI capabilities, leveraging Google’s AI, Gemini, to serve as a planner, assistant, and manager all in one.
