PFI member arrested in Assam's Kamrup

Guwahati, May 17 (). A member of the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI) has been arrested in Assam’s Kamrup district. An official has given this information on Wednesday.

The arrested person has been identified as Abdul Razzaq Ali. According to police, the raid was conducted to nab PFI member Ali from Nagarbera area of ​​Kamrup district.

On the basis of a tip-off, Officer-in-Charge of Nagarbera Police Station Mirel Ahmed launched an operation and arrested the PFI member.

Ali was on the run since the ban on PFI, said a senior police officer. We recently got information that he had returned to his home and after that we planned an operation to nab him.

Police has interrogated the arrested PFI member. Further investigation is underway in the matter. As per reports, till now several members of PFI have been arrested by the Assam Police.
