PM Modi reached Hiroshima Peace Memorial, paid tribute

New Delhi, May 21 (). Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is visiting Japan for the G7 summit, on Sunday paid floral tributes at the Peace Memorial Museum and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park dedicated to the victims of the nuclear attack at the end of World War II.

Modi wrote on Twitter, this morning went to the Peace Memorial Museum and Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima.

He also attached photographs of his visit to historical sites in Japan.

In a tweet, the Prime Minister’s Office said, PM Narendra Modi paid tribute to the Hiroshima victims at the Peace Memorial Park and Museum.

Tribute to the memory of the Hiroshima victims, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said in a tweet. PM Narendra Modi begins his day by visiting the Peace Memorial Museum, where he observes documented exhibits and signs the visitor’s book.

He also tweeted a group photo of world leaders attending the G7 summit and said the leaders also paid their respects at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.

The Prime Minister arrived in Hiroshima on 19 May primarily for the annual summit of the G7 advanced economies.

He is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with some of the world leaders attending the summit.
