Bhopal, April 1 (). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off Madhya Pradesh’s first semi-high-speed train Vande Bharat Express between Rani Kamalapati Railway Station Bhopal to New Delhi on Saturday.
Equipped with world-class passenger amenities, Vande Bharat will provide train connectivity between state capital Bhopal to New Delhi. It will reduce travel time by 25 to 45 percent.
This will be the 11th Vande Bharat Express. The first semi-high-speed train in the country was started on 15 February 2019 from New Delhi to Varanasi.
As of now, 10 Vande Bharat trains are running in the country connecting 108 districts and 17 states.
It may be noted that the Prime Minister in his address to the nation on August 15, 2021 had announced that 75 Vande Bharat trains will connect every nook and corner of the country during the 75 weeks of the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.
Prime Minister Modi will reach Raja Bhoj Airport at 10 am.
