New Delhi, April 16 (). Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and other party workers protest near the NIA headquarters after being stopped from marching towards the CBI headquarters.
The protest is being organized to show solidarity with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal is being questioned today by a team of senior CBI officials in the Delhi Excise scam case.
Anticipating ruckus by AAP workers during Kejriwal’s questioning, the Delhi Police had imposed Section 144 outside the CBI headquarters.
AAP workers took to the streets across the capital. He also called supporters from other states. According to information, AAP workers coming from Punjab and other states are protesting.
Rapid Action Force has been deployed at Rajghat, ITO, CBI Headquarters and Lutyens Zone.
Over 1,000 security personnel, including paramilitary forces, will be deployed outside the CBI headquarters at Lodhi Road.
According to officials, security has been beefed up outside the AAP office near Rouse Avenue Court.
