The Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration has fined around 100 schools in Noida and Greater Noida for not following the Allahabad High Court order. According to the order issued by the District Inspector of Schools, within 30 days, the fine will be increased to Rs 5 lakh for not returning 15 percent of the fee collected as fees to the students. The parents had appealed to the district administration for not taking any action regarding the refund of the fees.

In fact, on May 21, 2020, during the Corona period, the fees in schools were increased by 15 percent. In the case, the High Court had ordered on January 6, 2023, to adjust 15 percent of the fees of the students of all the schools in the state in the next year or send them to the account of the students who left the school. On the orders of the court, the District Fee Regulatory Committee had sent notices to all the schools till February 16 to refund 15 per cent fees, on which the private schools did not act.
