Pilibhit (Uttar Pradesh), April 3 (). Pilibhit’s Mohanapur Gurudwara is now under the watch of the police. The CCTV footage of the gurdwara till the evening of March 25 has gone missing. The police team probing the case related to absconding Waris Punjab De leader Amritpal Singh and his aide Papalpreet Singh reached Pilibhit on Sunday to investigate the matter.
Joga Singh, a kar sevak (volunteer) at the gurudwara, was arrested by the Punjab Police in Ludhiana on 30 March following the recovery of an abandoned vehicle found near Phagwara in Punjab on 28 March.
The police had arrested the driver Gurwant Singh from Hoshiarpur on March 29.
The police team also found that the surveillance cameras resumed recording from March 26. In footage recorded after that date, a vehicle with Uttarakhand number plates, registered in the name of Jathedar Mohan Singh, head of the Badhpura Gurdwara in Pilibhit, was seen. The vehicle was parked inside the Gurudwara premises.
