Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney, recognized for her performances in Euphoria and The Housemaid, might be on the verge of a significant debut in Bollywood. Reports indicate she has received an astonishing offer exceeding £45 million (over Rs 530 crore) to feature in one of India’s costliest films. The proposed arrangement allegedly includes £35 million (around Rs 415 crore) as her acting fee, alongside £10 million (approximately Rs 115 crore) from sponsorships and brand partnerships. Producers are reportedly counting on her global appeal to enhance the film’s visibility outside India. The project is expected to enter production in early 2026, with filming locations planned in New York, Paris, London, and Dubai.
The narrative is said to revolve around a young American star who falls in love with an Indian celebrity, suggesting a cross-cultural romantic theme. Insiders claim that Sweeney was initially surprised by the size of the offer, referring to £45 million as “an incredible sum.” She is currently evaluating her options, as she has several projects already in the works. Although nothing has been officially confirmed, those familiar with the negotiations believe this could represent a pivotal moment in her career. Presently, Sweeney is set to appear in several significant Hollywood films, including Christy, where she plays U.S. pro boxer Christy Martin, slated for release on November 7, and The Housemaid, which is due out in December 2025.
